Problem for Whirlpool GD5SHAX Side by Side Refrigerator
No water to ice maker
I tried the solenoid switcheroo to the water dispenser. Did not get water to the ice maker but the solenoid sounded like it energized. Took the hose off the bottom and verified that the solenoid to the ice maker is working - water is shooting out. Prev worked fine, we were gone for a month, and left elect and water on. Noticed ice in bin was a little melted together when we returned, didn't think anything of it. Just emptied out.

Check the fill tube inside to icemaker . It could be frozen closed .

This just may be the thermostat inside your ice maker causing the problem. The part number is 627985 Thanks, Sea Breeze
