DVD help Hi! I just got my first laptop. I went through the set up stuff and thought I did ok. Since it's new, I wanted to try everything out. BUT .... the book doesn't even mention how to use the DVD player. Can you help? Please? Thanks!

A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

Taking scenes from DVD discs to compile in a new DVD disc

Hi Swash,

If i understood right, you want to take parts from some DVD's you have and edite them to paste them all together in a costume DVD?

If this is what you are asking for, why dont you try a video editing softwarem, or simply movie maker (if it is installed on your PC)

If this is not what you mean, please be more specific on what your problem is.

Thank you

Hp pavilion ze5500 display monitor still doesn't work

IT could be a motherboard problem with the function key that controls the switching of the video infomation between the LCD screen and the external video connector.
It could be the function key circuitry on the motherboard that controls the back lighting levels on the LCD.

you have to finalize the disc first.once it is finalized you can not record any more material on it,so make sure you record everything you want on a disc. you can maximize disc space by changing speeds on the dvd recorder. for example: if you have 5 hrs of stuff on a tape, set the dvd recorder for 6 hrs or more recording time.the quality should be ok [depends on how good of quality you want] if you set the speed for 2 hrs, your quality would be better, but obviously everything won't fit.
hope this helps

If it works fine with only the battery, then the lcd should be fine. Your power adapter might be bad.
