Most of the lexmarks have a black box that you plug the power cord into or it is attached, and the box plugs into a large rectangular hole in the back of the machine. The black box is the A C adapter.

On the side wall of the recess at the back, probably on the right side as you look at it from behind.

You could try a power reset of the printer.
Press ON button to turn off printer
Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer
Remove all of the ink cartridges
Wait 3 minutes
Plug the power cord back into the printer
Press the ON button to turn on the printer
Install back all of the cartridges

If this does not work, you could try a hardware reset.
1) Press and hold LEFT ARROW and then press SETUP
Release both buttons
2) Press OK
3) Press & release RIGHT ARROW until LCD reads System Configuration Menu 2
4) Press OK
5) LCD reads Hardware Failure Status: Clear, Press OK to clear
6) Press OK, LCD now reads Cleared, Press Cancel to continue.
7) Press & release CANCEL until the Welcome or Ink System
Failure screen appears on LCD
8) DO NOT PRINT AT THIS STAGE
9) Use POWER button to turn OFF printer
10) Unplug power cord from electrical outlet and from back of printer
11) Wait 1 minute. plug power cord back into outlet first then back into the printer
12)Turn on the printer, Press OK
The printer will start to initiate, do not interrupt.

I have an HP photosmart plus b209a-m and I keep on getting this "unreadable images" error that keeps on popping up and it is very annoying. I was wondering what it was and how to get rid of it.

Turn-Off the Printer using the Power Button.
Unplug power-supply cord from printer.
Unplug Power plug from power outlet.
wait 30 seconds.
Plug cord back into printer.
Plug power cord into Power outlet.
Turn-On power using Power button.
Now when you check printer status, it will be OK.

Printer won't work at all. ON button is lit, but won't go off when pressed, and a test page won't print from the printer itself!

Try unplugging the power cord and the PC cord for 2 minutes then plug the AC back in before connecting the PC. If that doesn't work, unplug the AC cord again and hold the power switch on the printer in while plugging the AC cord back in.If it doesn't work, try performing a semi-reset:

Remove both the cartridges and then perform the reset.

Perform a semi-full reset on your PSC 2200 by holding the button
combination given below, while plugging in the power cord.

CAUTION: A semi-full reset will reset or clear the following
information:

* Return the user settings to the factory defaults.
* Delete language and country settings on some models.
* Fax logs.
* Fax headers.
* Fax speed dial information.

Press and hold "#" and "6" buttons while on the front panel keypad,
plugging in the power cord.

Now insert the cartridges back. Try printing a test page from the printer itself now. If it's OK, it means that the printer is OK. If not, there could be a hardware problem with the printer.
Good luck!

Issue seems to be with the hardware of printer.

You can try following steps to reset it to "factory default settings"

3- Press and hold # and 6 on printer while plugging the power cord
4- Printer may shut off itself
5- Press power button to turn it on
6- Select country and language
7- It will clean and align itself. May take 7-9 minutes
8- It will print an alignment page, place the alignment page on scanner glass and press ok

Wish for all success..

Once we ran out of ink and replaced it the printer would no longer print

Remove the cartridges and clean the copper contacts of cartridges with lightly moistened lint free cloth. Do not insert them in printer after cleaning

Power cycle the printer by following steps when cartridges are out

1- unplug the power cord from back of printer when printer is tuned on
2- Wait for 30 seconds
3- plug the power cord and turn on the printer

Insert cartridges, it should start aligning automatically

It will print an alignment page, place the alignment page on scanner glass and press ok

HP PHotosmart c6150 keeps shutting on and off repeating the same meassage improper shutdown.

You need to reset the printer. I had the same exact problem with a C6150. Unplug the power cord from back "while printer power is on" (doesn't have to be fully booted just turning on). Wait 20 seconds, hold # and 6 keys together and plug power back in. Continue to hold until power goes off or semi-reset message comes up. Power up (if off) press OK for any error messages and let the printer cycle. Should be good to go. Mine sounded very noisy while it was trying to allign internally. I can only suspect that was the initial problem but this process fixed mine and it runs great now. Hope this helps.

Hi, I have an HP Deskjet 450wbt Printer (where the wbt is in the model number and stands for wireless bluetooth). It's a few years old and now I need a replacement Power Supply. When searching (using...

Here are some part numbers for you. I found both these items on ebay but you might be able to find them other places. I just used ebay to check if the part numbers were correct. There are two cords that you need to power the machine.
1) The Power Cord: PN# 8120-8900. This cord plugs into the power module then into the wall.
2)The Power Module: PN# 0957-2229. This cord plugs into your printer and has a place for the power cord to plug in.

There might be some places that sell them both together but be careful if you have lost both these you will need them both to power your machine.
Hope this helps

Turning on i guess

It should work OK once you plug it back in. Note there are three places to check the power connection.
- The power pack has to be inserted firmly
- the cord that goes into the power pack
- the cord into the wall - be sure to check the wall outlet with a lamp or something to make sure it's not an overall power problem/breaker, etc.

Ink says empty but cartridge is new

On the phone for an hour with those idiots in India, same exact problem. Here is what you do: 1: Unplug AC cord from back 2: Hold down the # and 6 key, plug in the powe cord and continue to hold the kes for 1 minute. 3. Printer will power off durning this time. Release the keys and plug in the power cord. 4. You may need to press the power button on. This will hard reset the printer. It will go throught the initialaztion process and suck your cartridges but should solve the problem. HP SUCKS!
