April 8 2002 DIV 26 SOURCE 110 KENMORE ELITE HE3 & HET WASHERS "ADD-A-GARMENT" INDICATOR LIGHT ON DOOR WON'T UNLOCK WHEN PAUSE/CANCEL BUTTON IS DEPRESSED.

MODELS: See additional page for Kenmore model numbers

COMPLAINT: Due to a Microcomputer Machine Control software error , the ADD-A-GARMENT feature becomes inoperative.

CORRECTION: The Microcomputer Machine Control must be replaced with a service part that has been reprogrammed to prevent ADD-A-GARMENT feature loss.

PARTS: Order electronic control listed on this service flash by model from Division 26 , Source 110 following normal ordering procedure.

Just above where the washer door strike goes into the latch is a small round piece of plastic that activates a switch in the latch- is that still there? It will push in and come out as it is spring-loaded.

My Duet GHW9100LW I turn it on and the dial light just blinks, it does not lock or start. Tried unplugging, did not work. Don't have manual. Is there a reset button?

Could be a bad lock or possibly a bad control board. I run into this all the time, working for a maytag/whirlpool dealer and repair facility. If your in a area that has alot of power outtages or surges get a surge protector after you get your problem fixed.

Press and hold "end of cycle" button for 3 seconds, on the right side of panel. This is the child lock feature, do it again & it locks.

F5 error code

when F5 comes up on the Duets it means "water temperature Sensor Error". what you need to check is the sensor, (which you have indicated has been changed), the heating element and the element relay. check all the connections to the Sensor, element and the relay first. hope this helps.

unplug for 5 minutes then plug back in see if it resets itself,also check the door switch on inside of the door on washer make sure that has a clicking sound,sometimes on some models if the door switch goes bad it will not spin or drain,let me know,thanks-mike
