1. off the upper and lower ends with flat plastic or apadded flat head screw driver so as not to scratch your stainless steel. Atwisting wrist action will suffice.
2. Now the screws are exposed, you can re-tighten them.
3. Replace the plastic covers starting with the base whichhas a small plastic the goes into a slot in the main handle. Then glide therest forward and it snaps in effortlessly. http://www.partselect.com/Schematics/GE/00115279i01.gif

you have to pop off the screw covers at the top and bottom of the handles...it took me forever to figure out how to do it. i had to do it several times because they always came loose so i used a lil bit of locktite on them
Hi, Please get me the model # from the label inside the refrigerator and I will look this up for you. Most handles have a set screw that tightens down.
The door handles mount on hex bolts sticking out of the door, the door handles have key hole inserts that match with the bolts. The door handles are then slid in one direction to lock the handles in place. Removal is the reverse. To tighten the door handle screw the bolt out enough that you can still put the handle over the bolt heads and slide the handle to lock the handle in place.
I just FINALLY fixed mine... Popped little cover pieces off top and bottom of handle with a plastic bread bag tag slid along space created by loose handle (did not scratch finish on door). That exposed the screws which could be tightened with a phillips screw driver; the cover pieces then snap back on the ends of the handle.
