When i turn my printer on imakes a funny noise and... (by 8 users)
when i turn my printer on the gold color belt connected to the ink part is turning and making a funny noise but the ink part is not moving and the little red exclamation pointe on the printer came on and it says, printer error

I turn my printer on it makes a funny noise and the gold color belt just keeps turning problem, and notify you when a new solution is offered.

Same prob. Epson service says a "clip" has broken off the amber belt. It is connected into the back of the cartridge case and makes the carts. move back and forth etc. Buy a new HP.

I have an Epson cx6500 with the same problem although at this stage its still printing with no effect on print quality
Ive tried cleannig the dust away but it still sounds like the print head is forcing it way back and forth. Hope someone can help with a solution

I have the same problem, while printing my printer made a funny noise and now the ink cartridges will not move back and forth. can that belt be replaced?

When I turn my printer on and send it a document to print, it makes a noise similar to the sound you hear when you pick up a fax line that is faxing. Then the red exclamation light comes on. It refuses to complete a request to print.
Help, I love this printer.
