This problem is with a Hitachi 55HDS69 plasma television.
The first issue is there are very thin bleeding horizontal lines approximately 2 to 3 inches from the top of the screen. The lines are across the entire screen and are very faint.
The second issue, (possibly related to the first issue), is the television will turn the plasma screen off and no video will be displayed on any input, you cannot see the menus and the screen itself appears to not be powered on. However, audio would continue to play while the screen was out.
I did attempt replacing the SDR-U board inside the TV with no results. Once the newly purchased (used) SDR-U board was inserted, the screen would not power on and no video was displayed.
The original board was then replaced inside the television taking the status back to same results as before (bleeding horizontal lines through the picture and screen shutdown after a few hours).
very possible the YSUS board is going bad .If YSUS is going bad .I would also replace XSUS board since they are same age..Also whenYSUS is replaced make sure you make pot ajdustments as old YSUS and also with XSUS board
