Battery won't take a charge, just bought from Costco on the 24th. Called and was told to sent the sales slip to get a new battery? Sounds like a lot of bother when it is new?

Then, it should be FULLY covered under WARRANTY, either from the store from where you bought it, or from ACER.

It's probably 100% fine; it's your laptop that is the problem.

Exercise the WARRANTY to get the laptop repaired/replaced, at NO COST to you.

From what you're saying here, I believe that you simply have a bad battery. Most batteries only last 5 years, much less if they're left to sit in storage periodically. You really should charge the battery overnight and do a load test on it the next day. The person(s) you spoke to at BMW were probably sales staff and not actual technicians. Costco has very good batteries at reasonable prices.

I ended up calling Pentax Customer Service, who told me that this indicates an internal problem with the camera. So, I sent it to Pentax to get it fixed. I'm told turn-around time is usually 2-3 weeks, and that I'll be called with a cost estimate before repairs are made. My fingers are crossed!

the battery isnt lasting because it needs to be fully discharged (drained) before it is recharged. (this is only for nicd batteries)

I have purchased 2 remote controlled toy cars from Costco over the years. These New Bright batteris and charges last only a few charges, and then they go bad. I am disappointed. I will go to Walmart and buy a new battery and see if it works better, if not, i will return to Walmart.

i have not used my camera since June, when i went to charge the battery the other night the Red light just kept flashing even after leaving it for 8 hours, i can get pictures from it which are stored in it but the shutter will not open whilist in and out of the cradle.

The same thing happened to my Casio Exilim EXZ75 camera. Whenever I tried to charge my battery, the battery charger light just keeps blinking. And it didn't stop. So after a period of time doing the same thing over again I called the casio customer service and they were very friendly. I told them my situation and they asked me a few questions,like my number, where I live, the serial number on the bottom of my camera and they told me that it was very common of lithaunim batteries to have a red light blinking. So they sent me a new battery for free. Thats right no extra charge and now my camera works like it did the first time I bought it. Casio customer service number: 1-800-435-7732. The most important thing about them giving you a new battery is your camera's serial number. I mean they just can't give a free battery to just anyone. Hope I've been a great help to anyone.

Simple solution  ! just wire a 9V battery postive to positive and negative to negative ( be careful not to interchange them ). hold it together for 30 seconds ! done !
All this does is give the battery diode inside, a boost ! so that its connectors are activated and Voila ! it works camera's now charging !
