It takes 3 times to dry a load in my Amana Gas Dryer. It's also making a noise off an on that sounds like water running in the pipes behind the washer and dryer.

Clean your dryer vents, and lint filters. You may need to clean vent from wall to outside. to test this.. unhook vent pipe from wall..and run dryer and see what happens.

try taking a flashlight and look over the back of the drier see if the vent got mashed or is all coled up and stuff let me know also you can remove the vent from the back of the drier and run 1 load to see if it works normal if so then you know the vents the culprit.
the vent that takes the air from the dryer out of the house is clogged. not the part right behind the dryer but from where it goes into the wall to where it leaves the house needs to be cleaned. when the air cant leave the dryer at normal speed it takes for ever to dry a load of clothes
Have you cleaned the exhaust ducting? The duct that runs from inside to outside. Try that first. Sounds like your exhaust line is blocked. Also with the filter out get a flash light and look down the venting if alot of lint vaccum out. NOTE: Unplug the unit, wheather gas or electric.....and if it is a gas shut off the gas to the dryer before moving just in case something gets loose while moving. Hope this helps.
