I have a sansa e280 and I'd like to use it in MTP mode with rhapsody 4. Rhapsody detects the device in MSC mode. In MTP mode, rhapsody doesn't see the device. Or at least doesn't make it visible. I've been through the suggestions @ rhapsody. Updated Windows DRM, patches to WMP 10, and I've even updated the firmware on the device. Still no joy.

    Any ideas?

i was listening to a song and i went to turn up the music and it froze. The colored screen is still glowing after 2hrs.. What can i do to unfreeze my sansa e280?

when the sansa restarts and it says refreshing data base the bar goes 2/6ths of the way and stops. It will then stay like that until the battery dies. even when you try to recharge the battery the bar goes 2/6ths of the way and stops.

It run great until one day i went to "My Documents". In the music directory most files i could find, but when i wanted to look into the video folder there was suddenly a great disturbance:
The sansa screen was alight but blank and clear of any image or word.
Also the sansa folder disappeared in "My Documents"
Re-plugging the cable and using the control panel to "add hardware" did not work out too.
Like dead, but screen is well lid.
Any suggestions or similar things happened to you?

I tried to pull it off and plug it in, the computer says that the device has malfunctioned and is not recognized. Any help please!

@abrahamas : please reformat the player using this steps. Perform recovery mode on the player. When in recovery mode connect the player to the computer and create a file named sansa.fmt and apply the file inside the 16MB Format . The file would reformat the player. After that try transferring songs to the player in any way you want.

Sansa e280 not starting

Try pushing and holding the power button down for a minute, this may reset it, if not take out the battery from the back via 4 small phillips screws, and keep it out for at least 30 seconds than put it back and see what happens, these are replacable if needed from Amazon for short money.

My Sansa E280 mp3 player Keeps freezing everytime I go under my "unknown" section. It says Bad Track for most of the songs in that section and it freezes. Also in my unknown section most of the songs won't...

What I would recommend you to do is to format the device...Keep in mind that formatting the device will delete everything you have in that device....if that doesnt work...go to the sandisk website and download a firmware upgrade for your device...I am sure that will take care of the problem you are having...
Thank you

New sansa e280 frozen!

Press the Menu button for about 20 seconds and it will turn off. Try restarting it.

If that doesn't work, download the firmware from Sandisk's site. Flick the hold switch over, press the record button, and plug it into your computer. That will start recovery mode. Open the firmware and install it.
