I am confronted with a problem. My acer laptop's cd tray is not coming out, when i press the open button. No response. what is it?

Perhaps it didn't fully latch so the CD drive doesn't think it's closed? Try opening and closing the door manually by straightening out a paperclip, then inserting it into the little hole in the front of the CD door. That should open it. Once open, close it and see if it will now open when you press the Open/Close button.
