Vibrations begin when turned on

my super steady shot cyber shot T300 just started vibrating last month and disappeared. last week during my vacation in vancouver, my camera started to vibrate again but this time will not go away.
i even brought it to sonny outlet at the Pacific Plaza in downtown vancouver. but cannot help and told me to bring it to a service centre but will be charged with a diadnostic fee of $40.00.(date Aug 24 2009)
i learned from my friend's daughter that we can check online for any information and voila the defective model and symptoms were all the while known to many.(no wonder that sales clerk gave a funny reaction when the junior sales clerk told him of the problem. like he wants to hide something from me.
i bought mine in a sonny centre in Jakarta Indonesia (place of residence)and I can say these problem of the sonny cyber shot is not limited to the United States and not limited to the DSC T20 model .
I want to know what sonny can do to fix this problem. so disappointed with the brand now.
just to add, i met someone at a party last sunday and told me fix the focus when i tried taking photos and my camera started vibrating. she thought it can be fixed.it happens to her camera like too. but she is not aware that soon her camera will cease to fiunction and will just vibrate non stop when it is on shooting mode.
