I failed to instal windowsXP on My motherboard ''810ET''

According to the specs I have Serena, the eMachines eTower 633i Desktop PC, uses a TriGem Cognac motherboard.

[TriGem is the manufacturer, Cognac is the model.
Note it is Not the TriGem Cognac+ ]

Looking at the chart, and reading across, you can see what the Intel 810 motherboard chipset supports;

1) Processors: Intel Celeron, or Intel Pentium II, or Intel Pentium III.

2) Processor Front Side Bus: (FSB) 66MegaHertz, or 100MHz.

3) SDR Sdram ram memory at 100Megahertz.

Clean the bottom of the Heatsink THOROUGHLY, and the top of the Processor if it needs it. (I always do anyway)

PROPERLY apply fresh, new Thermal Paste.

It will take up to a Intel Pentium III 1Ghz or Intel Celeron 1.1GHz CPU.

The fastest Pentium 3 that will work in your board is a Intel Pentium III 1GHz chip. Here is a link to the specs:

You could also get a Intel Celeron 1.1 GHz but it only has half the level 2 cache size so it's actually a bit slower than the Pentium III 1GHz chip.

you can only use socket 370 (Intel Celeron/Intel Pentium III) processors on that motherboard. Your maximum cpu speed is set by the bios.

Windows XP requires at least a pentium III cpu to run. Sorry.
