Question about Zebra LP 2844 Thermal Printer
I tried updating the firmware on my TLP2844 label printer that was working, but the technician at Zebra forgot to mention that I needed to go into the BIOS and turn off ECP/ECC on my parallel port before doing so. The update did not work and now my printer light is in a solid red state. Tried correcting the ECP problem and still it's' not working. I've tried calibrating to no avail, turning off/on, etc. When you first turn it on, the light flashes red 6 times then goes to solid. I've tried holding the button until it flashes, then releasing it. Nothing will take it out of the error condition. Any ideas anyone?
Qusetion, Using USB my TLP2844 detects as a LP2844ps. Weird, huh? Also when I calibrate it the label does not stop at the perferation. When I print half goes on one label and the other half goes on the next label. Someone told me once there was a trick to get it to calibrate correctly. Anyone here know this? When I print a test page, it feed the correct amount of label.
