Question about HP Pavilion dv6000z Notebook

HP Pavilion dv6000z (6125se)

Periodical fading in left part of the screen....goes away when i move the top towards or away from me....could this be a loose cable (ribbon) or connection to the motherboard and is this hard to fix?

Anyone have a mink for diagrams or a service manual download>?

You can go to choose the support option. Follow the on screen directions and you can order the parts direct from HP.

When I turn on my computer, the screen goes all white and it stays like that

There are usually three reasons for white screen. One is the LCDproblem secondly, the invertor board problem, and finally the graphic controller problem.You have nothing to do that if you are not a laptop technician. But one thing that you can do. You can connect an external dispaly and can check it whether the problem lays in the LCD section or not.Make a comment for this reply.

This is most likely a loose connection of either the data cable on the left side of the lcd panel and mainboard, or it is the cable that attaches the inverter to the maonboard and screen, that runs on the right side and terminates under the screen behind the screen bezel, when you move the screen, the hinges are pulling on a cable and changing its contact with a socket on the mainboard causing a loss of signal. I don't know where the wireless button is on my hp Pavilion dv6-1245dx notebook

Call HP and speak to one of there tech. and I am sure they will tell you right away. It is usually on the right side or right in fromt of the computer. It is very small and it moves one way to the right and one way to the left. Left is usually off. Hope this helps,,,Good Luck,,,Darren

Gray screen on laptop, cursor in upper left wont go to main program screen

Did the HDD light flash ? also check battery may be bad, CMOS need info to talk to the drives before booting up, also is your copy of windows legal? XP and later Microsoft gives you 5 tries and windows goes bye bye, also no antivirus prog. master boot record may be corrupted. and only other thing back to O/S is linux( open source) . unles CMOS chip died.

you need to update the video driver on you machine. go to manufacturers web site of your video card. follow instructions, select custom update not express. next screen look on left for hardware click it it, select video and install at the top

Might be the brightness. Check if there are is a key combination for adjusting brightness.
