Question about EliteGroup MB ECS N FORCE 410 C51G-M754 Motherboard

1 Answer

Motherboard C51G-M754 i just purchased this motherboard with a AMD processor as a combo pack from, and i think i have it all hooked up right, but the only thing working on here is the fans? I went step by step through the instructions and the only think i hadn't heard of in the booklet was the jumpers? i have no idea about these, but for the most part i have a pretty good idea how to do the rest of the motherboard and hardrive etc, installation. I was just wondering if i have a bad motherboard or if i am just an idiot and hooked up wrong, or don't have the right components. Thanks

Re: motherboard C51G-M754

This may be a silly question, but have you plugged the 4 pin power cable to the motherboard as well as the long power plug.
You will see the 4 pin power slot fairly close to the heatsink.
Jumpers generally come already set.
Make sure you have seated everything correctly, take out the ram and when you put it back in hold your fingers under the mobo, there may not be enough support under the ram slots therefore the mobo will bow and sometimes the middle of the ram will not be touching the slots.
Hope this works.

Can MSI MS-6380E support radeon x1800?

1) Motherboard uses a Socket A processor socket. Also known as Socket 462.

When they switched from the Athlon single-core processors, to the Athlon 64-bit dual-core processors, they went to a completely different processor socket.

So using the MSI MS-6380E motherboard with a dual core AMD processor = NO.

I don't seem to find an AMD Athlon 64 X2 1.8GigaHertz processor, except for a mobile version. One used for a laptop in otherwords,

Uses a Socket S1 mobile processor socket,

List of AMD Athlon 64 microprocessors,

Pretend like I'm from Missouri, and Show Me.

Find the processor by it's AMD part number, and post the URL of the website in a Comment.

AMD Athlon 64 3000+
SINGLE-core processor, not X2.
(Socket 939 processor socket, too)

Show me the Processor, and then we can go on.

Will a dual core or multi core processor fit into and work in a elitegroup 761gx-m754 motherboard?

Unfortunately there are no dual core CPUs for this motherboard. The 761GX-M754 motherboard has a 754 socket which supports the Athlon 64 / Sempron CPU. AMD never released a dual core CPU for the socket.

I wish that I had better news for you.

Can i fit a bigger processor to my ASUS K8V-MX Motherboard and mybe more ram and if so where can i purchase it from

This motherboard supports a AMD Athlon 64 / Sempron processor (Socket 754). Since this is an older unit you will have to search on Ebay for a processor.
As for the RAM you will need DDR 400, this can easily be purchased at There is a maximum of 2 gb on your motherboard.

The M3N78-em mobo doesn't support AM3 processors. It is an AM2 / AM2+ platform. A wonderful GPU for you would be this.

ECS C51G-M754 window 7 Drivers

Hello fozy, Hi, since windows 7 is still new, most likely there is no available yet driver for public download, you need to wait for it, OR you can call and if possible ask for a copy from your dealer for a burn copy of the driver. regularly check the ECS website for updates too.

Better processor

Not sure which family of AMD Athlon you mean, probably just Athlon, not AthlonXP or other, but I do know that 2400+ isn't 2.00ghz, however, that aside, there are alot of processors supported by this motherboard, but in specific families.

This is a link to MSI's website and the CPU Compatibility list for this Motherboard. The AthlonXP 3000+ w/ 166/333 FSB is the Fastest this board will support, and as to where you can find it, there are numerous online stores that may still carry this. A few to check would be CDW (, TigerDirect (, NewEgg ( and ChiefValue ( to name a few. These are all sites that I have personally done business with to know they are legitimate companies.

Hope this helps!
