Don't know about hammer's warranty, but why do you expect them to warrant something that you damaged/destroyed? Most warranties do not cover negligence.

Scope insternal adjustments do not do anything. This is the second new scope I have had this problem with. I have borescoped the rifle and no change in either windage or elevation screws over entire...

One of the things about bore sighting is there is no shock to the scope. They are meant to have some shock that goes along with an adjustment. Try smaller adjustments and tap the tube of the scope with a screw driver handle after every adjustment. Not so hard you dent it but hard enough to get stuff moving. Hope this Helps FixYa up.

Is there anyway i can restraighten my riflescope reticle?

You'll need to contact Nikon. The reticule is fixed inside the tube and should not be moving. If your reticule has shifted then it's a defect.

You can contact Nikon's repair service at 1-800-Nikon US (1-800-645-6687) or check our their website here.

I have a Redfield 3x 9x riflescope with a bent horizontal cross-hair. It is an old scope I've had for years. I was wondering if it is covered by warranty? If so,where do I send it for repair?

Redfield was purchased by Leupold in 2008, and is only able to repair and service Redfield scopes made in 2010 or later. If it was made before 2010, then it isn't covered by warranty, but Leupold does suggest contacting Iron Sight, Inc, if you want to ask about repairs and associated costs. Here's what the Redfield/Leupold website says:

When Leupold & Stevens, Inc.® purchased Redfield in April 2008, it did not acquire the capability to repair Redfield products manufactured prior to this purchase. The repair tooling and parts were purchased years ago by other repair services. Leupold & Stevens, Inc. will service its manufactured Redfield product (manufactured from 2010 forward) in accordance with its published warranty.
At this time, should a non-Leupold & Stevens, Inc. Redfield product require service, we suggest contacting Iron Sight, Inc. (918) 445-2001. This contact is provided for information purposes only, as Iron Sight Inc. is not affiliated with Leupold & Stevens Inc. They should be contacted directly for all information regarding repair, service and associated charges.

I got in a tight spot needing a scope last season. I was very short on cash so i bought a 3-9x 50mm cheap Tasco . I sighted it in at 100 yards. I missed the first deer . Two hours later I shot high on...

well one day you may lurn that cheap is cheap! and tasco is rubbish cheap! i would say without dought the cross hair in the scope has shaken apart,,,due to recoil,,,a 30-06 has a big recoil
try holding the rifle stock on your jaw and firing the rifle off?
when or if,, you wake up in hospital with a shaterd jaw and with no teeth left in it you will know then! and cheap tasco scope is an air rifle scope it cant take 2500ft/lbs of recoil???
so it wont take much of a kick to mess it up,,
i put one on a 303 enfield??? i got 3 shots before it fell to bits!
if your going to buy cheap scope's go for nicon gold crown?

While sighting in rifle with new scope the cross hairs began to roate in the scope. I am using see through mounts. Is it a scope problem or mounting problem

Is the scope moving in the mounts? Going back and forth, left and right? If so, tighten up the screws, Or are the stadia wires themselves spinning around inside the scope? That could be a problem. The wires are fixed in a tube that is mounted at the rear, the front is at the adj screws, they push back and forth on a spring, the whole tube moves, but it is not supposed to spin. You can get to this part easy enough, but go no farther than the cross hairs. Find out what they are supposed to be attached to, or just send the whole thing back and complain. If you break the seal, they will never honor the warranty if there is one. Hope this helps.
