Does it heat up at all? If so, your vent may be clogged. First check the air flow to the vent. If it vents straight out from the laundry area, be sure it's got good air flow. If it ventys up inside the wall, you need to have the vent cleaned out for saftey reasons. If it does vent up, you could have a house fire. Or your safety t-stat or thermal fuse may be out. My whirlpool dryer moder ler6620pto gets hot but clothes are taking to long to dry. it seems to be getting hot enough.

Hi,

If your dryer is not drying like it once did or if you just have nottaken the time to give yourself a clean dryer in a long time then youneed to do that. At least once a year the dryer cleaning should takeplace. Lint build up in the dryer duct is one of the main causesfor your dryer to fail.

Dryer wont run if load is heavy, belt has cracks.

I just replaced the motor on my Whirlpool which was 12 yrs. old. The motor bearings get bad and let the rotor move off-center and bind. There is a thermal overload in the motor that shuts it off when it gets too hot.
My solution: new motor, the belt is unrelated to the problem.

Whirlpool dryer model LEB6000PQ0 its not heating up anymore''it starts it turns but the clothes dont dry its only 2 yrs old.

check your breaker first.A dryer will run on 110 but wont heat.if not breaker it could be your thermal fuse or element.the thermal fuse is located on element cage, unplug machine and test for continuity to your thermal cut off fuse which will be the top one on cage and check continuity to element.
