3 ds will not turn on

1. Make sure the battery pack is charged: Connect the 3DS to your charge cable or place it on the cradle. Make sure that the battery is charging. (Indicated by the orange light on the front. Even if the battery is fully charged, this light will come on briefly and then turn off.)

2. Press and power button and make sure the blue power light turns on. If this light turns on but you do not get any picture or sound, you may want to consider sending your system in for repair.

3. Make sure any DS or 3DS game card inserted is properly inserted into the game card slot. The game card should be inserted with the label facing out and then pushed into the slot until it clicks into place.

4. Check that the battery has been inserted properly. Unscrew the back panel of the unit, remove the battery and reinsert it, making sure that the contacts on the battery match up with the contacts on the system. The battery should be inserted so that the "positive" (+) and "negative" (-) icons on the battery are facing up. CAUTION: There was a known glitch in the system at launch that prevented players from tagging other systems that they've already tagged if the battery is removed for a certain period of time.

If none of the above works, you may need to send the system in for repair. Check Nintendo's support site for repair information.

Im playing my nintendo ds but in randomly shuts down while im playing it even though it is fully charged what should I do to fix it pls help

Make sure the battery contacts are clean, and the battery is fully "clicked-in" to place

To clean the battery contacts, you can use a cotton swab with some rubbing alcohol, or you can even use a pencil eraser. Clean both the contacts on the battery and on the DS, being careful not to bend any spring pins when doing so. Just make sure the gold color is somewhat shiny, and you should have good contact.

if that doesn't help, contact Nintendo's customer service:

When i try to power on my son's DS Lite, the red light is on, and both screens power on for about 2-3 seconds max and then the system shuts off. It also wont charge when connected to the wall.

You may need to get a replacement battery pack when the battery is below 30% the light will turn red, the battery requires 4 hours to charge, and when the battery is fully charged the amber colored light will turn off. If you still need to purchase a new battery contact nintendo cust serv at 800-255-3700 or you can order online at You will need a #00 philips screw driver to remove the battery cover, install the battery with the 2 tabs in first, close compartment and allow battery to fully charge before use. The average battery will last for about 500 charges. Hope this helps

My Ds is not turning on. Even after it has been charged. It clicks but it seem out of battery

Try this: Take out the battery, clean the battery contacts on the system and the battery, then try it again. You can open up a DS Lite with a small phillips head screwdriver. If this does not help you will probably need to contact the support number.

Ds lite ac wall charger

When you first get the DS it will have a bit if charge on it but only a few hours worth. When the DS charges it usally comes up with a orange/red ish light then that goes out about a few hours later when its charged. ad if you want to chek if it is charging correcly turn the DS on whilst it is charging and the little battery simble in the top right corner should show the battery carging.
