I want to replace the motherboard on a Dell Dimension 3000. How do I know which one to get? I have replaced a motherboard on a different computer before but that one was purchased for me.

It uses a
ASUS P4P800-VM 478 Intel 865G Micro ATX Intel Motherboard.
Know that you will probably have to revalidate Windows after changing motherboards because this is a major hardware change. You may have to call Microsoft. Also have some thermal grease on hand to reinstall the CPU on the motherboard.
