Cd changer needs to be constantly reset when I start car

unplug the wireing to the cd changer this may reset the funtion

red is switched or ignition power, yellow is constant power, black is ground.

yellow goes to a constant power source.

if there is not reset switch (will usually be a small hole about the size of a pencil tip) just disconnect power to the changer. this can be done by disconnecting the cable(s) to the changer.

I just left the Lexus dealership w/ my ES 330 (my changer reads "Error 3" upon starting my car, it also makes a loud ticking noise); go figure, the mechanic/technician there informed me that I need another motor for my disk changer - Merry Christmas and hello $675!

After turning your car off for about an hour or so, the cd player is supposed to reset itself enabling you to retrieve your cd's. Attribute this to having utilized burned cd's.

IT WILL NEED A SERVICE, POSSIBLE THAT ONE OF THE SWITCHES IS FAULTY

Put a pen inside the small hole under the CD holder to reset the machine (when turned off).

try unpluging the cd and then pluging it back in, thgis shopuld act as a reset.
