When you wriggle the plug in the power socket on the laptop and the charge LED flashes and in the right position it charges, this indicates that the power socket is faulty or there is a dry solder joint on the motherboard where this power socket is attached.
To get at the power socket will require dismantling the laptop completely.
If you are confident, can dismantle, reassemble a laptop and use a temperture controlled solder iron then try and fix it. If not a computer repair shop can do the repair, I suggest you get a quote first.

Sony vaio pcg-2j3l desktop will not power on

Just to clarify, the box (power brick) in the middle of the power cord is the power supply. With that said, there is a light on the box (may be green, blue, or some other color). Does it come on when you plug it in (assuming that the wall outlet or serge protector has power)? If it doesn't then the power cable needs to be replaced. If it does then there is something wrong with either the cable going between the box and the computer, the power connector, or the connector on the computer.

I would like to help me quickly for find sony vio model pcg-394l (audio driver),thank you :)

http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/swu-list.pl?mdl=PCGK35&SelectOS=13

http://www.realtek.com/downloads/downloadsView.aspx?Langid=1&PNid=23&PFid=23&Level=4&Conn=3&DownTypeID=3&GetDown=false

Here are a couple of links to the drivers I believe you are looking for. Ihad to use the PCG-K35 to find the drivers. I found out that the reakltek AC 97' audio codec driver is what you are looking for from the first link.

The second link is a realtek direct download link.

May the Source code be with you my friend.

I want the pcg 394L camera and microphone driver

Hi Saurav,
PCG 394L is the service tag number. You may need to refer to your product again to determine the actual model name. Model Numbers are usually located on a sticker located on the back or bottom of the unit. They may also be listed on the product manual.
Based on the service tag you have provided, the model number might start with VGNFZ.

Sony vaio operating system not found when computer is first turned on... what can I do to fix this and have I lost all info on my comp? I have a Sony Vaio PCG-394L notebook with Windows Vista operating...

You can try running the installation/recovery disc that came with the computer or the built-in recovery system (if it has one) to try and repair the windows installation. The problem is if the computer is saying that the operating system is not found then critical files got deleted from something like a virus or the hard disc drive has stopped working. You may have to do a format and re-install of the windows OS.

Web Cam

It sounds like a loose connection between the camera and the computer inside the case.

The Video capture Utility says so.

And if you have no picture it comes out black.

Power adaptors/ travelling/ aptop

Yes, it is a switching power supply meaning that it automatically detects 120v (US) or 240v (EU) voltage. The only thing you might need is an adapter to convert the actual plug in from US to EU standards; they can be picked up for just a few dollars.

Thanks for using fixya and please take a moment to give this solution a rating of fixya. Thanks! :c)
