Printers often go off line for no reason. It can be genuinely off line or the pc is just not seeing the printer anymore To put it back on line all you need to do is open the print queue (double click on the printers icon in printers devices/ printer and faxes) go to File and in the drop down list it will say "Use printer Offline or Use printer online. click on it and if the pc is seeing the printer if will change and the printer will then start up and print. If this does not work then check your cable to the printer or your network connection to reestablish the connection.
Thank you for contacting FixYa with your printer inquiry.
HP Jetdirect and Embedded Jetdirect Inside Print Servers - A Printer Reports Being Offline or Out of Paper
A printer using the HP Standard TCP/IP Port reports being offline or out of paper, even though the printer can be pinged, can display the embedded Web server, and is not out of paper.
Open the Printers or Printers and Faxes folder.
Open the Properties of the printer and the Ports tab.
Click Configure Port .
Uncheck SNMP Status Enabled .
This is the most common cause.

1. Open Start menu. 2. Click on "Printers and Faxes" 3. Double-click the icon for your printer. 4.
On the menu bar, click "Printer" to open the printer menu. Click on
"Use Printer Offline" to remove the check mark. This will bring your
printer back online.
If this did not help, check the printer itself & make sure it is not set to be offline.

One thing you can try instead of deleting the doucment writer is to change the default printer. You can do this by right-clicking on the HP printer icon and selecting "set as default" from the drop down box. Also try turning the printer off and back on aswell as restaring the computer if you have'nt already. Did that printer ever work from that computer? How is it wired, by "switcher" do you mean a shared printer through you network(was printer sharing configured properly), or an A-B printer switch. Please clarify
click START then printer and faxes then then right click your printer icon then click the ofline icon with ticmark above it when you will click the tickmark will go and it will be on line then just refresh it 3-4 times thats it rate the solution as fixya. thank u for using fixya.
