Re: No water or cleaner coming out when cleaning floor.

I had the same problem only mine hasnt been used. Water came out of the attachments but not the hoover part....... I removed the handle and found that the trigger on the handle wasnt long enough so it wasnt pushing the button attached to the pipes to let the water through. I got a piece of hard sponge and glued it to the button.. Hey presto it now works.

Take the top part off to get to the middel and open it up inside u should have a little box with wires an hoses going to it just take the two hoses off and put a clean one on an blow throw it if having trouble, get a thin bit of wire and clean were the two hoses go then try blowing throw it again.

I have a bissell pro heat carpet cleaner. It is model 25a3 and about 1 year old. no water comes out when I press the trigger to clean the floor. The tools attachment works fine, any ideas?

If you are getting water from the tool. But not at the floor the most likely problem is the heater is clogged with coagulated soap or minerals. You will need to separate the upper handle to get to the heater. Insure the machine is unplugged. Remove the cover from the heater making sure you don't lose the little gaskets on each screw. Clean the channels inside the heater and put the cover back on. Be aware of how you are Taking it apart so you will know how to reassemble it.

Floor attachment does not suction, no clog in the hose, hand held works when dettached from floor attachment

Have you checked the floor head? Use a pipe cleaner or twisted metal to carefully and gently see what's in there. It sounds like dirt or something has definately sealed up the main suction channel.

The attachment hose is torn right where it connects to the motor . And there should be a trigger on the end of the hose right below where it connects to the hand tool.

1698 bissell cleaner

Check to see if you get water from the hand held nozzle if so you have a clogged heater. If you get nothing at neither the floor or hose check the belt on the right side of the machine there is a cover that you need to remove it runs the pump and may be stretched out or broken. Also check the solution tank if it is not sealed properly you won't get any water either. For parts cleaning solution or questions visit
