So I have a LG DLE2512W Electric Dryer... Stopped heating about a month ago. Got the replacement heating element with the thermostats already installed, brand new... Installed it with no problem. Still not drying. Called LG and they told me to take a damp cloth to the Sensors inside the drum on the lint catch. Still nothing. I was curious what else the problem could be. I even went as far as to just disconnect the 2 sensors on the lint trap so that it would generate heat. Still nothing. I took the drum completely out and cleaned everything thoroughly and removed the lint duct and cleaned it out. The cooling light stays lit all the time and the drying light blinks. Never really paid too close attention to weather it was doing this prior to not heating or not. I assumed... that with a new element and thermostat it would work flawless. And If I got to manual dry rather than sensor dry wouldnt that disable the front sensors on the lint trap? Any Ideas would be great as I really do not have the money to get it serviced. I mean it took me a month to be able to purchase the heating element. Thanks for any help that you can provide.

- So after hooking up an older dryer that we have... it also did not blow hot air. This led me to one conclusion which was the circuit breaker. I replaced the fuse which was a 30amp 240v. With a new one since I do not know how long its been in there. I got a 40amp and whadya know hot air. I should have thought of that in the first place instead of buying a whole new heater element. Now everything runs flawless. Thank u Roberta3fan for your advice. Hopefully there will be no more problems. If you run into this problem check your fuse in your fuse box. mine was partially working allowing it to turn on and spin the drum but, not enough current to get the heater element working. It was only $16 for the fuse and It saved me from having to get it serviced.

- Yes that is correct. Exactly. Fixed the problem I was having. It would allow the Unit to turn on and turn the drum but, would not allow the heating element to switch on.
there are a couple of thermal fuses also that could be blown inside the back check these also

- The fuse that you replaced do you mean the breaker in the breaker box? And if so it was a double pole 30amp breaker and you put in a 40amp double pole breaker? Is that right?

- Yes because your heater runs off 240v and the rest of the dryer is 120v I would also recommend changing the 40amp breaker back with a new 30amp double pole breaker. Reason? Because if you have a problem in the future it may not trip the breaker before the wiring gets to hot a could cause an electrical fire.

Cracked drum as well. Purchased 10/22/06 and we are not heavy users only 3 in the family. Like somone else mentioned had my Kenmore for 10+ years and it was still working (when I gave it way) thinking that I upgraded to a new fancy LG set. NOT! Also have error's on the washer and had to stop using liquid bleach, because it wasn't rinsing all the way out of the tray and we'd get bleach streaks on the next load. Had to toss a couple of my favorite clothing pieces. Where do I purchase the recommended replacement drum part? 3045E4002C
