Question about LG Chocolate Clamshell VX8600 Cellular Phone

Bluetooth problem... My LG VX8600, when I setup the bluetooth menu to visible, after several minutes it will become hidden by itself. Did anyone have a way to set it for visible until I change it back by myself? And I tried two bluetooth earphone. Neither of them worked. One is Phillips VOX130/17, the other is Plantronics Voyager 510 Bluetooth, it's frustrating. If anyone have a good idea to solve the problem, please feel free to email me. Thanks a lot. irene_wyy@hotmail.com

I have a LGVX8700 and it has been a nightmare trying to connect to my Samsung bluetooth ear set. When I am finally able to connect, the connection fails after just a few minutes. Sometimes even if the phone discovers the earpiece, it wont complete the connection. The problem is definately the phone and not the earpiece. I tried a Jabra with the same results. Both earpieces connect easily to my Motorola phone

I'm not sure about LGs, but I know you can't set a Motorola to be permanently visable, it hides itself after 1 min. LGs might do something similar. Either way, you only need it to be visible to pair it. Once it is paired with the headset or "bluetooth earphone", the phone doesn't need to be visable to connect to paired devices. To pair a bluetooth headset, refer to the manual of the headset on how to put it in "Pairing Mode", then go on the phone to add a new device with bluetooth, and find the headset. There will probably be a code you need to input on the phone. It should also be in the manual of the headset.

My husband just got his chocolate 3 and it will not stay connected to his blue tooth. From what I read on other postings it is a problem with the software in the phone. He will be taking his phone back to a dealer asap to get it replaced. He is a truck driver and must have his phone be blue tooth compatible.

Trying to connect Nokia 5800 to prowave bluetooth car kit

you have to make your phone visible to other devices. to do this, go under settings, make sure bluetooth is on, then adjust the visibility of the phone Settings
Select Menu > Settings and Connectivity > Bluetooth.
When you open the application for the first time, you are asked to define a name for
your device. You can change the name later.
Select from the following:
? Bluetooth — Turn Bluetooth connectivity on or off.
? My phone's visibility — To allow your device to be found by other devices with
Bluetooth wireless technology, select Shown to all. To set a time period after which
the visibility is set from shown to hidden, select Set visibility period. To hide your
device from other devices, select Hidden.
? My phone's name — Edit the name shown to other devices with Bluetooth wireless
technology.
? Remote SIM mode — Enable or disable another device, such as a compatible car kit
accessory, to use the SIM card in your device to connect to the network

Bluetooth connects to LG Vu phone but does not work

I would suggest taking the battery out when the phone is powered on. Replace the battery and try to re-pair the set.

If that doesn't work, then its likely the bluetooth module in your phone is broken. You can validate this by pairing the bluetooth with another handset.

Need to setup H300 bluetooth to my LG VU phone! How do I do this?

The quick answer is that you can put it into pairing mode, and your phone should recognize it. To put into pairing mode, push and hold the large power/answer button for at least 6 seconds. The light will start flashing, indicating that it is in pairing mode. Go into the Bluetooth menu on your phone and make sure Bluetooth is turned on, that your phone is visible, and that you can search for new headset devices. Make sure the headset is still flashing. When you discover the headset in the phone, it may prompt you for the code. I believe the pairing code is "0000". Add the device to the phone. You should now be able to use it with your phone.

If this doesn't get you there, do a search for H350 Manual to get a pdf of the user manual and quickStart guide.

LG Secret

hey! i also had the same problem. i could only send files through bluetooth but couldn't receive them but recently i found out it's becuase my handset common memory was full. so if you delete some files u have on ur handset memory..u may be able to receive files again. this worked for me but im not sure if you have the same problem as i did. i thought that the files received on bluetooth would go to my mircoSD memory chip thingy but apparently it didnt. SOOOO if ur able to send files through bluetooth it should mean that the bluetooth connection itself isn't the problem....i think. it's just ur handset common memory that is full. u can go check the memory space by going to Setting ->Memory manager ->Hanset common memory.  Hopefully this helps!

I'm having the same problem with my verizon vx8600 phone. Only with a jabra bt350 (listed as compatible). It actually doesn't find anything at all, no phones, no headsets, no bluetooth enabled PC's. Not really sure what to do since I've discovered handsfree talking, I never want to go back

Phone shutting down

Is the phone set on 'always visible'? I think on my LG Rumor, if you have visibility sest to hidden, the phone will not look for the bluetooth. Not sure if that's it or not, but wanted to mention it just in case that might be the problem.
