Question about Galaxy Radios DX- 88HL Base CB Radio
I have a Galaxy dx99v radio everything works but the receive. it transmits great!!!
the talk back has been disabled in the radio. can anyone tell me how to find
the cause of the receive problem? thanks,Tony B.
Did this problem occur while radio was being operated? or when it was being worked on? or a result of being worked on?

I see no one has responded to your question. The reason may be that the information is a bit vague. The are a lot of reasons a radio won't receive. In the Galaxy 99, the mic doesn't have to be connected to receive a signal so that illimates the mic possibilities. I have found that in some of the Galaxys I have worked on, that the if section ( thats the section near the pll chip, has cold solder joints ( broken solder connections to the pc board ). You may want to look real close at the pc side of the board with a magnifing glass and see if you can find any electronic components ( resistors, transistors. etc ) loose. Good Luck
