I have a canon D760 xerox printer and my boss wants me to clean the fuser. Couple things, I dont know what the fuser is or looks like,( went online to look, but still a little vague ) and when i find it how do i clean it? I been looking for documentation online, but I couldnt find one for this brand of printer. Plus they tell you you need all these tools to clean it, is this nessecary?
Hi Yes when cleaning the fuser you have to be extremly carefull! The fuser can be easily damaged by poor removal or using harsh chemicals. Usually if the fuser is in that bad of shape to where you are having to wipe and clean it your better off replacing the fuser. But again in order to remove fuser you will need certain tools . I hope this helps!!!

A E000 means that the fuser unit is not heating up correctly. You will most likey need a new fuser unit. If you unplug the copier and plug it back in and it will not come to "Ready" you need a new fuser. Good Luck
You may be able to remove the covers by removing screws in the fuser area. Canons are often puzzles, having to remove one panel before another. You'll just have to try one after another. It's usually not too much hassle; just notice the sequence for reassembly.
If this doesnt work you may need to replace the fuser.
1: Push Additional functions button.
2: Push # Then + to option 7, Push SET.
3: Push + to option 4, Push SET.
4: Push YES ( - button ).
5: Unplug for 30 seconds.
It workad for me!
