You may have picked up a virus with this download. Scan your computer with an anti-virus program (AVG has a good free version of it's program). and hope it finds something to eliminate. That's one of the pitfalls of downloading free programs from the internet. Download the AVG program from MajorGeeks.com. I've never been burned with any of their downloads.

Remove SnapDo.EXE

Hello install this program from here:

http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free/

And run a full scan when the program is installed.

Please do not activate the trial period.

Install a better antivirus program, like microsoft security essential.

And delete the others you might have.

Good luck

I am trying to install master of orion II on a windows 7 64 bit operating system and it won't open, because DPLAY.dll cannot be found. I have downloaded the driver, put it in the sys32 folder, the...

Hello,

First install MOO2 on a computer were it runs and copy the entire micropose directory to the program files (x86) directory.

Then copy the dplayx.dll file from the windows\sysWOW64 directory and renamed it dplay.dll and put it back in the sysWOW64 directory (be sure the dplayx.dll file is still there) or if you have the 32 bit version it should be found in the system32 directory (I am guessing, but you will need a dplay.dll)

Found this great post about getting MOO2 to run in Windows 7, and even with the compatibility enabled it still has a graphics palette problem. The reason is because of Windows explorer, and to fix the problem you need to disable explorer.

I know this can be a little too much for some, there is an easier way.

Simply create a notepad file on your desktop, and paste the following.

(If you have 32-bit version of Windows 7.)

TASKKILL /F /IM "explorer.exe"
cd C:\"Program Files"\Microprose\Orion2
start /w C:\"Program Files"\Microprose\Orion2\Orion95.exe
start C:\Windows\explorer.exe

(Copy and paste below if you have 64-bit)

TASKKILL /F /IM "explorer.exe"
cd C:\"Program Files (x86)"\Microprose\Orion2
start /w C:\"Program Files (x86)"\Microprose\Orion2\Orion95.exe
start C:\Windows\explorer.exe

Make sure you rename the text file to Moo2.bat, then it will launch Moo2 and disable explorer. Moo2 plays perfectly fine this way, even without any of the compatibility enabled.

The Batch file will also restore your explorer when you exit the game.

Alternatively, you could use DosBox to play the game.

I cant download anything on my pc, it says winssnotify.exe unable to locate this application has failed to start because cert.dll was not found reinstalling may fixt it, and also it says, RUNDLL error...

winssnotify.exe is a program that is associated with windows "One Care." Unless you specified otherwise, you should see the One Care icon near running programs (area near the clock, on the bottom right of your screen). Go to Control Panel, uninstall/install programs and Reinstall or repair One Care. One Care is legit, and has firewall/virus options associated with it. If you recently uninstalled the program or installed another antivirus program, that may be your issue. If you uninstalled it, there may be files that were not removed or another program may have identified Onecare files as spyware. If you recently did anything like a "registry cleaner" or supposed "scan" of your system from a less than reputable online source, that can definitely be your issue. If you never downloaded Onecare, the program may be an imposter. It should be located under program files in the one care folder. If you do have this program, Onecare has a website scan to help users with problems. Hope this helps. Leave a comment if you need further assistance.

Trojans wont go away. Hijackthis SCAN help

I am of the mind to do a complete reinstall of the operating system including flash the BIOS even if it is the same version. I worked many hours tracking down and thinking you found every part of the problem on to hit an .EXE and it all starts over again....I just clean out everything and start fresh.
If you tell us what make and model of computer along with the operating system it is we can direct you to the drivers for the reinstall. Some off those programs - for example AOL seem to be virus magnets. (if it is a dell it is really simple if you just put in your service code- it give you your particular driver of your computer.)
That is what I would do...Or you can keep hunting.

SOUND CARD DRIVER IS MISSING

Hi,

This is the best way to download the drivers of all your devices which are connected to the system for free.

But you have to be patient.

First, i want you to download a ree program called "Orbit download manager" from the link below,

http://dl.orbitdownloader.com/dl/OrbitDownloaderSetup.exe

And then you can download a program called "Driver genius" from link

http://www.qwerks.com/download/6776/drvgenpro.exe

it is a trial program for 15 days

dont worry we only need it for 5 minutes

Install & run the program & in the windows click on the update the drivers

It will check & it will give the window with the drives that needs to be updated & it will not update a it is a trial one.

So you just right click on the driver name, you will get a message called 'copy url address 1' copy that & open the orbit downloader & click on the create new download & paste the link the drivers will be downloaded for free.

Some sites give these drivers only for the money & we cannot be able to find them from the free sites, so i think this would be a nice trick.

Good Luck.
