My cursor goes backward first when i hit the tab key, then it goes forward. this just started. Ex. 1111 2222 3333 when i hit the tab key on 2222, my cursor jumps to 1111, then when i hit it again, it jumps to 3333

Darken the screen and either move the lid forward or backwards. Laptops have Liquid Crystal Screens and moving the lid backwards or forward will give the screen a different look.
If you need to adjust the brightness of the screen it is controlled by keys on your laptop. Remove steering column shroud(cover)and tap ignition barrel with small hammer while twisting key backwards and forwards,also turn steering wheel backwards and forwards sometimes this is enough to release key as the locking pins in barrel and the steering lock pin do sometimes jam.You will have to remove steering column shroud to replace ignition barrel if tapping/hitting it doesnt work anyway so its not a wasted effort.Good luck,let me know how it works out
