My Rancilio Silvia espresso machine has become incontinent- after each pull, there is a lot of water on the kitchen counter. What the hell ?

- Do not know from where the water comes. The wet puddle on the counter appears after I do the first pull, and always shows up on the right side of the unit as I face it. Note: I live in a tiny, rickety old house that may or may not still be level, so I don't know if the information about the water being to the right helps or not.

Could you please clarify where the water is coming from, and at what point in the pull you first see it?
