I'm using an hp laserjet 3600 and just recently started receiving a PCL XL error when printing a PDF. I've had th printer for well over a year and just recently started having this issue. I uninstalled and reinstalled and it was fixed for a day or so. It's connected directly to my desktop (no network), my OS is Windows XP pro. I can print from other programs...it seems to be specific to Adobe Acrobat Reader...using version Reader 8.
I've read about the PCL5 vs PCL6 but was not able to successfully use a PCL5 driver for this printer. Any help is greatly apprciated

This is a known issue with 'host-based' printers like the 3600. You need the PCL5 driver, which this printer will not work with. You need a different printer, such as the HP 3520.

I replaced the toner cartridge on my laser printer but it isn't fitting properly the door will not close all the way therefore it gives me a message saying ''cartridge is not engaged''. I removed all tabs before trying to put it in the printer. Am I missing a step?

I'm getting error 59.63 on power up. I have changed the DC controller and toner. Still no go. Unplugging the motor generates a different error. Ideas?
