Re: kenmore 90 series

Pry front of top panel off, flip it back and there are 2 screws on the backside of the front panel at the top. Take those two out and disconnect the door sensor. Lift the front panel up off of its clips and then out. Hope this helps.

Kenmore 90 series electric dryer qiuet pak 1 101649022200 the lights are on when you open the dryer but the dryer itself will not turn on or do anything!

There's thermal fuse on the blower that blows when the cycling thermostat malfunctions or the lint/vent duct are blocked. This thermal fuse is wired in series with the dryer motor and if it blows, power to the motor is terminated causing the dryer not to start and no dryer function works. Check to make sure that the lint filter is always clean and the vents are clear. Click on the link below for the detailed troubleshooting of the dryer, particularly the thermal fuse, when it doesn't start.

Kenmore series 90 electric dryer: exhaust air is

that's normal, obviously you haven't cleaned out your dryer and vent line, nobody ever tells the customer when you buy your dryer that it should be cleaned out at least once a year so you don't have a fire more so if it's a gas dryer with an open flame inside the dryer, you gotta vac out the inside where the motor is,clean out the duct that the lint filter slides into and blow out the vent line,i use a leaf blower to clean out the vent line, take it off the back of the dryer, stick the leaf blower in the line if it's a long run if it runs through the wall and to the outside flapper and blow all the **** out of it,also if you have a shop vac put it on blow and blow off the motor, you won't believe how much lint comes off the motor even though it looks clean,so vac out the inside of dryer, clean out the lint filter duct and blow out the vent line

My Kenmore Series 90 dryer won't run as it appears the door does not hit the actuator. It would appear either the door has moved to a lower position or the actuator has moved up into the dryer. May I ask...

The door switch or actuator is broken. A common problem. On most Kenmore dryers this is replace by lifting the top. Since you haven't given the whole model number I will discuss raising the top on the most common model.

If your model has a lint filter at the top the slide show below should show you how to raise the top.

Kenmore Dryer

Disconnect power to unit. Lift the cover from the lint filter or if yours is the one with a filter and cover together, remove the whole filter. You will see 2 screws under the cover/filter, remove them. Now, you will need a putty knife or a thin shafted straight screw driver to remove the top panel. Push the putty knife or screw driver to "pop" the front top clips. The top panel will hinge back towards the wall and can be left there. Just inside the top of the front panel, you will see 2 screws, remove them. You will see the wires for the door switch on the right side. *** the top of the front panel toward you to gain access to the switch for replacement.

Reverse process for reassembly. Good Luck

My Kenmore 90 Series Dryer keeps overheating. I've cleaned out all lint I can find in the traps, the exhaust vent leading out, and even popped the bottom panel off cleaning that area out. Is the motor...

By overheating I presume you mean the high temperature fuse is tripping.
The two most common causes are poor air flow and a bad themostat. If there's a good flow of air coming out of the exhaust vent then it's likely the thermostat. Expect to pay $20-30 plus labor for a new one.
