Hi,

A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Good luck!

The formula as you know is A = P ( 1 + (r / n)) ^ nt and the answer from my calculator as a check is $3173.75 saved total.

Here P is $2000, r is 0.08, n is 1 (times per year compounded), and t is 6

So you would key it in like this

1.08

I am sorry to say but the calculator does not handle Base-N calculations. It only has three calculation types :General (basic) COMPutations, Standard deviation calculation, and regressions.

Pressing 2 0 0 LN = will give you the natural logarithm of 200. If you need the common (base 10) logarithm, divide the result by the log of 10.

( 2 0 0 LN ) / ( 1 0 LN ) =

will give you the common log of 200.

( 2 0 0 LN ) / ( 1 0 LN ) =

will give you the common log of 200.

You can calculate =4^1.2 in Excel and get
5.278031643

And also in Excel you can determine what the square root of 2 is (2.506628274631) and then in Excel = 5 ^ 2.506628274631 = 56.5012395907155.

I know this is late but maybe it will help later. Assuming I am doing it right. Thanks!

You need to get the OS from another calc (via usb or I/O cable and the "Send OS" command) or pick up the OS from ti's website and install it through the computer software (ticonnect) having the newest OS on your calculator is always a good idea.
