skypainter, I also am having the exact problem you are. After reading what buffalo said, I removed my glass cover and knocked the pilot piece a couple of times with my screwdriver handle and so far so good. Guess it loosened up the spring. Just hope to get through the cold season.

the "click" you hear is the pilot valve closing. the pilot valve is spring loaded to shut off when a flame is not detected or is detected then is not. try this desatech site. it is for reddy heaters but they might have the thermocouple you are looking for.

hey skypainter, we have the same heater that had the same problem. my husband took the glass cover off to reach the pilot, then used a toothpick to clean out the hole where the gas come out. A large piece of dust came out and not it lights and stays lit. We are looking for the legs to sit it on the floor instead of mounting it, any ideas?
