Re: no picture

I have the same camera Kodak LS443. Min. cost to repair starts at $175.00 there is a chip that is faulty. Problem is you cannot just replace the chip other parts are involved. Kodak is aware of this problem but they will not recall this camera, if you send it to them for repair it will cost you much much more. On Ebay last week there were alot of these LS443 cameras guess what !! all were been sold for parts they almost all had the same problem no pic in the viewer just black, I really loved this camera but will never buy a kodak again, there very hard to repair. sometimes not even repairable.

Too much brightness

Set the ISO to a lower number and make sure your "exposure compensation" is at "0" or lower if you prefer.

Over exposure

Hey - have the same problem. All my still pictures are coming out overexposed, no matter what setting I use. Tried resetting, tried new battery, tried new memory card, tried different exposure settings. Nothing fixed it or affected it. However, my movie exposure works great so I can take movies just fine. Are you able to take movies with no overexposure?

How do I get out of Movie Mode?

Unfortunately it sounds as if that camera will need to be sent in for service. Call Tech Support at 1-800-828-4040 to do a little troubleshooting and get your possible repair options.

Hope this helps.

Pictures too bright

This has happened to me also. You mention that you were changing settings. The symptoms sound like your camera is in a special setting other than "Auto". Examples that would produce such results include Fireworks or Manual. Recommend trying to change your settings one more time:

1. Turn the camera on, and press the FUNC/SET button.
2. Press left or right on your circular dial switch until "Auto" is selected.
3. Press the FUNC/SET button one more time to set the camera to Automatic.

Now take a picture to see if this fixed it.
