Asko 7705 dryer shut down

It seems that if I put more then 8 or 10 articals of clothing in the dryer the breaker on the back of the dryer trips. I feel this is not a excesive amount considering it is all shorts and T-shirts. Is there a sensor that I might be able to replace or by pass.

We are having the same problem. We clean the lint filter after each load, and wash it with soapy water after every few loads. We do not use fabric softener sheets. Water collects in the cubby that holds the condensor unit, and we have to mop that water up after every load, which involves unscrewing the front panel. Is there any hope for fixing this lemon, or do we need to buy a new dryer?

After 1 medium load at high heat setting, dryer shuts down requiring a reset with the button on back.

I am having a problem with my Kenmore dryer, model 110.63102101 shutting off after about 20 minutes of drying time. It started about 3 weeks ago. I took the back off, cleaned it all out, cleaned the lint duct, whatever I could reach. It ran fine for a couple of weeks, but now the problem is back. From a cold start, it will run normal for about 20 minutes, then shut down. Restarting it after about a half hour, it will run for about 5 minutes. If I immediately restart it, it may run for less than a minute, or not start at all. If I come back after a while, it will restart, but run only for a short time. Something inside needs to cool down first.
This condition is in high heat, and low heat is not much better. I can run a normal cycle in air dry.
    Any suggestions?

Same as described above, if any "normal sized" load is put in the dryer it trips the reset on the back after like 7 or so minutes.

Does Not Shut Off

1st go the the house breaker (dbl breaker) for the dryer and shut it off and turn it back on, your dryer runs on 220 volts of power but if the breaker is partially tripped it may be only running on 110 volts which is only enough power to turn the lights on and to turn the drum the element needs 220 volts to turn on. If it still doesn't heat after resetting the breaker then you may need a heating element or thermostat. The dryer isn't shutting off because it isn't detecting the clothes are getting dry so once you fix your heating problem the dryer should start shutting off on its own again.

I have an Asko 7305 Dryer that keeps tripping the fuse. When I put a load in to dry, it will run for a few minutes, then stop. I push the black button in the back and it will come back on for a few, then...

either the motors overloaded from clothes load size, the motor bearings are getting tight from lack of lubrication, or the dryer heating element is beginning to short out to the case and grounding itself and tripping the fuse

I inherited an older model whirlpool electric dryer when I moved in...there seems to be no heat...went to get clothes out this morning and they were still damp...I wasn't given a manual - and have...

Check the breakers, by FULLY turning it off and then back on. What happens, commonly, is the heat side of the 220 breaker trips. If it keeps happening, sometimes you need a new breaker, but DO NOT increase the amp rating of the breaker. Breakers that trip from time to time, eventually start tripping EARLIER.

Clothes don't dry completely

Check your breaker. An electric dryer works on 220 volts, which is two 110 volts put together, but on separate lines. Those breakers have to be separated all the way from the transformer. So, if you have one breaker for the dryer, you will be okay, usually on a double pole, double throw breaker. Sometimes they are wired into two different breakers. The motor is on one breaker, and the heating element is on the other breaker. So, if they aren't on a breaker that is made as a double unit, the heating element can trip one breaker, and since they aren't made together as a unit where it will shut the whole dryer down, the motor in the dryer will still run, and the drum will still turn. It just won't dry clothes. Now, if you have made sure your power is ok, which i have no way of knowing if you just moved there, you had the dryer working in that spot for fifteen years, or what. So, if you have had it there for a while and it runs and it does not dry, and the breakers aren't tripped, then you need a new heating coil in the dryer. They burn out, just like toasters go bad, they work on the same principle. It is not that hard to replace one, just look at how the old one is before you remove it, and install the new one in the same way.

Maybe the heating element overheated and tripped the auto shut-off button? Try this:

Asko 24 el dryer does not run,no indicator light,Mod 10776110,LMBent

Check the house electrical panel for tripped dryer breaker pair. Push off, then on to reset. If breakers trip again, you have a short circuit within the dryer case--usually the heating element(s).

If you have a condensate tank that fills up too much the float inside the pump housing will shut the dryer off also.

Dryer internal breaker trips

If you are using dryer sheets in the machine the filter screen may be plugged and will have to be cleaned. You can check it by placing a bit of water on the screen if it beads and does not flow through then the screen is indeed plugged reducing air flow. There could be lint and build up in the dryer's internal ducting and sensors, the machine will have to be disassembled for a complete cleaning this will also reduce air flow and cause the machine to heat abnormally.
