I just installed an lg cd burner and windows media doesnt recogize it, it wont burn a cd and windows media acts like there isnt a cd burner installed at all.WHat did I do wrong?

Did you install the drivers? (The CD that comes with the LG burner?)

Did you make sure the jumpers were in the proper configuration master and slave? Was this an add on or a replacement? I would un-install it in the device manager and restart windows and see whether it shows up correctly.
