Power light comes on but nothing on the screen.

There is a large sand filled resistor on the main board close to where the power cord attaches that cracks. This will stop power until it cools enough to make the connection then heats up rapidly to open it again. It may be worth the trouble if you're handy with a soldering gun and can get the back off the TV. If not then I'd consider getting a flat screen.

could be damaged, try calling geek squad or taking back where you got it. when my dell acted up i called them directly despite purchasing from best buy. they didnt charge me a dime.

This sounds like a problem you would want to contact ACER about. It sounds like there may be a problem with your BIOS or even with the motherboard itself. If you are still under warranty, ACER should repair your laptop at no cost to you. Otherwise, you will have to take the computer to a local repair shop, or try to get help from a company like Geek Squad.

I m also suffering from same problem on aspire 4310. When the problem occurs, I remove the battery for an minute and insert again.... This trick have solved my problem. Try the same trick on your laptop and see that whether it works or not... Otherwise get it serviced....

Open the case and take out the RAM (memory) then put it back, take out the CD/DVD if any. Now turn on your PC again. If still no luck try other solution, witch you should Clear Bios or CMOS, by either resetting a jumper on the motherboard itself.

Bring it to best buy's Geek Squad. Or if you do not want to spend more money, bring it back to the store where you brought it.

Theres a few things you can do, just try taking the battery out an leaving it out...or in a more "worse" scenareo this could be a case that your screen has burned up from being left on for to long, exposed to water..anything on the lines of that. What I suggest doing is taking it to best buy an talking to Geek Squad about it.

You could replace the motor board for less than $100 but I think the geek squad says the motor board is bad on every computer that doesn't start right up for them so I would have someone else look at it first. Or just get a new computer at walmart for like $300

It sounds like defective video card or motherboard.

first do one think remove the battery and start the system after getting on press f1or f2 or f12 or del button to enter into the bios screen after coming bios screen set the system to default settings and save and exit the system its restart check its working or not, still same problem remove harddisk and boot from cd -rom it will go for some installation , if it not goes motherboard if it goes harddisk problem
