Keurig B60 Coffee Maker
Problem for Keurig B60 Coffee Maker

Not Brewing

By Chet G on Dec 04, 2007

When I press the brew buttom water starts to travel to the K-Cup and then stops. I have to open and close the k-cup lid 4-5 times and press brew several times to get the water to start running throught the cup. It seems as if there is not enough pressure to push the water through the machine. The water reservior is full of water.

-   my machine is doing the same thing.. I actually have to "brew" just plain water for the first cup of the day to insure that the next cup will be accurate.. otherwise I waste a K cup.. which doesnt bother me too much as it heats up my cup hehe. but still a pain -   dacoda

-   I, too, am having a problem with my Keurig; it's only two years old.  When the water comes out, there's barely enough to cover the bottom of the cup; then, on the second try, I usually get close to the amount of water I need.  I bought a Keurig because my neighbor had one.  His did the same thing! -   Guest

-   My Keurig has the same problem. I tried to see whether there was a problem with the connection between the water resevoir and the machine but am loathe to touch anything.-   MinaJane

-   Yes, I have had mine coffee maker for about a year and loved it. Now the same thing is happening. Either no coffee comes out or it dripples out. After about 5 times, a get a cup of coffee. It seems like something is blocked in the internal system of the coffee maker. I am wondering if it needs to be cleaned internally and how to do that.-   Guest

We have had this problem intermittently but we had a bigger problem that I solved yesterday. Our LCD display was not displaying properly - words were missing so we just had to guess when it was ready to brew. I called Keurig and they offered a new one for $100 since it was out of warranty. They did ask me if I had descaled the machine and, I'm embarassed to say, I had never done that. Well I descaled the machine and viola! - my LCD display completely came back just like new! Here's hoping the intermittent brewing problem is resolved as well! If you haven't descaled the machine recently, I would strongly suggest giving that a try for any problems you might be having. Of course, to descale, the machine has to at least be able to brew in order to get the vinegar through the machine...

My keurig is doing the same thing as Chet G.
I noticed a different shape to the K-Kups, but this shouldn't matter, right?
