Cuisinart DCC 2000 Coffee maker will not...
The 1-4 cup light turns on when I press that button but the coffee maker does not start when I move the spring loaded switch to ON.

- I have the sameame problem in the fact that the damn thing will only brew when it feels it like and almost never when I want it too.Does Cuisinart have a recall on these things?

- Cuisinart filter brew 12 cup is not working properly. I need to keep turning it off and on as it will perk for awhile, then beep and stop. So I have to repeat the on and off - making it take forever to make a pot of coffee. The attractive maker does not compensate for poor performance. Christina.- skipper honeSep 24, 2008

same problem, nothing lights up. It is off and stays off. It will randomly turn back on and work for a couple of days.

- Called Cuisinart at 800-726-0190 6:10PM on 07/22/08. straight to live assistant. They asked me for the model # and Serial # (on bottom of machine approx 6 digits. My last digit was a character). They shipped me a new one in 7 - 10 days. I just had to cover the $10 shipping and ship the old one back.Yes

Just called cuisinart service- 1-800-726-0190. They are sending me a new unit!! I've had the same problems everyone else here has mentioned- driving me crazy! They mentioned these are on back order and it may take 4 weeks to get my new unit- so they waived the $10.00 fee.
