Question about Twinhead SlimNote N12PI Notebook PC
How to open twinhead laptop 12D casing ?
Are you sure you have all the screws out, there is a small plastic disc on the bottom of the laptop underneath the card slot, this needs to be removed to access a screw (obviously take out plastic blank in slot first).
And there is not much reason to dismantle LCD either.
What is it you are trying to do.

Apart from all the visible screws in the bottom, there are some below the keyboard. You need to remove the keyboard, it is held on its upper side by 5 plastic tabs that you can pry apart with a thin blade.
After removing these screws, you can open tha case but be careful of the touchpad cable.

I have a freevents X62. To open the case, you also need to pull out the DVD tray. Pull it fully out and you will see two small screws that hold the CD to the top half of the laptop clam shell. Remove these, THEN pull out the complete DVD 2 cm or so. This removes the DVD connector from the laptop. (You'ss see what's going on onc you're inside.) The shell should then come apart if you've removed all the rest of the screws. (No need to remove the screws within the LCD panel.)

Hello, I had the same problem with my x50.
Could not figure it out and the remaining screws that were holding it were underneath the keyboard.
Popped the keyboard out, undid the screws and voila, the case opens enough to do things.

I have succesfully taken my x51 apart several times to upgrade parts, there is the screw under the card slot you need to remember and you need to take the screen off. To really get into things there are screws under the keyboard too, the keyboard just clicks right off.
