ASUS MYPAL A636 will not turn on

I have rebooted both soft and hard. I have bought a new battery. My ASUS MYPAL A636 is now an expensive paperweight. It will not turn on - On reboot the blue screen comes on and then it turns off. I have tried to contact ASUS Australia - no reply. Help.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

I have an asus a636n doesn't work won't turn on when i connect it to my computer I see is charging ( red led) bud nothing more..and my computer doesn't see my asus please help me

It is most likely a similar issue to what they were experiencing with the a632's not waking up correctly from sleep. Removing the battery will not fix this issue,
I would use a soft reset first to see if this corrects the issue and if not I would perform a hard reset. as detailed in the instructions below.

Asus mypal A639 keeps shutting down

I had this problem on my A639 after going on holiday with it (I think the x-ray scanners did something to it). It started switching itself off more and more as the days went by until one day it went off and never came back. After resetting it, it just stayed on the blue "ASUS Rock Solid Heart Touching" screen. I was worried that it was totally broken and I'd have to pay to get it repaired, but after searching the internet it turned out all I needed to do was re-flash the ROM with a fresh copy (I used the latest ROM). It now works fine and no longer turns itself off... didn't cost me ANYTHING to fix :-)

ASUS MyPal A626 Wouldn't boot

On the right side of your ASUS A626 there is a switch that says "HOLD". Make sure that isn't flipped on.

It keeps turning off when it's not at the cradle. So, I purchased new battery, but it still keeps turning off. I suspect that it's not getting power from its battery due to some reason. Any hint? Where...

Is the battery got a tight connection to the pins in the device? Try jamming it in with paper. Mine had the sae problem when it tried to use the SD card. When I jammed in some paper to make a closer connection it worked.

There is a problem with the battery cover switch. You should use a contact cleaning liquid spray or, if you are good in hardware, you can open up the PDA and solder a small capacitor in parallel with the switch. I did that yesterday, then I started iGO 2006 Plus and pressed several buttons. Everything was great, but I wasn't satisfied yet. I switched the hold button and started to hit the PDA dropped it on the table etc. When I had switched the button to unhold, surprise... the software was running. Problem solved! I have called a friend of mine and already modified his unit too.
Cheers and good luck!
