Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

There is likely to be a problem with either the lid solenoid/lock or the 'lid closed' sensor requiring a service engineer's attention I suggest. Sorry ;-0(

If this has assisted and/or clarified the situation for you please consider a 4 thumbs up on our rating.
Thanks and good luck!

you forgot the first three 110.82881100 is the full model, you'll need that to order the right sounds like you have a broken lid switch,i looked up your machine and it takes the older cherry switch part number 279347 and it's around 35 dollars.close the lid down, then open it around an inch or two,do this a few times, you should hear a clicking sound,if it isn't clicking the lid switch is broke,i'll send you a video from utube but it's for a different lid switch but you take the machine apart the same way but it's for a 247 lid switch and you need a 279347.if you can hear the motor running and this is happening you could have broken the motor coupling and i'll send that along too. this is for the lid switch copy and paste.this is for the motor coupling hope this helps salde

Washer fills with water but doesn't begin to agitate to wash. It also drains but doesn't spin when we set the dial to that

Your agitator pindle. has come loose From the spline. Try to lift up on the agitator. If it lifts off the spindle easily then it has worn out the spline. That is what connects the agitator to the s

The washer doesn't spin

Possible that the belt is slipping due to overload, check the capacitor to the motor , check the belt to the motor, check if the spindle is jammed , if so reset the spindle.

Whirlpool lsq8243h

If it doesn't agitate but will spin it is probably the agitator cams.

If it doesn't spin it is probably the motor drive coupling

Here is a link to the part and a video on how to replace it.
I would suggest watchine the Video before you order the part then you can check if this is the problem.

My washer fills, agitates but will not drain

Does your washer spin? If yes, and it doesn't drain it most likely a failed/plugged pump.

If it doesn't spin it could be a belt or timer issue..

Washer won't agitate or spin

Hello there and welcome to fixya
there are several things that you will need to check first ok please verrify the following
It doesn't pump or spin
If it doesn't pump water out or spin, check to see if the motor is running, then proceed as follows:
If the motor is running, your washer probably has a frozen pump pulley or a broken pump belt. To check the pulley, remove the pump from the washer and try to rotate the pulley manually. If it doesn't turn freely--if it's frozen or stiff--replace it. If the pump belt is broken or looks quite worn, replace it--but be sure to check the pump pulley before you change the belt.
If the motor isn't running, the lid switch may be defective. If so, the washing machine can't spin and may not function at all. The switch is inside the washing machine main housing near the door frame. Often you have to raise or open the top or front of the washing machine to get to the switch. If it's defective, you need to replace it.
It pumps, but doesn't spin
If your washer pumps out the water but doesn't spin, check these:
The lid switch may be defective. If it is, the washing machine doesn't spin. The switch is inside the washing machine main housing near the door frame. Often you have to raise or open the top or front of the washing machine to get to the switch. If it's defective, you need to replace it.

Old model rca washer machine...will not agitate/wash the clothes, does spin.

If the washer fills up with water and you hear the motor running but the agitator doesn’t move, the agitator coupling is the most likely problem. First pump the water out by turning the timer to spin. Once the water is out, turn the washer off. Now pull up on the agitator until it comes off (it may be hard to pull off). Now that the agitator is off, you can see the agitator coupling, reach down and try to turn the coupling. If the coupling turns freely, it is striped out and needs to be replaced.
