Question about Dell Axim X50v Pocket PC
I have a Dell Axim X50v that’s about three years old. Over the weekend the battery apparently went dead. I’ve recharged but now cannot boot up. I keep getting the screen align program and cannot get past it. I’ve performed both soft and hard resets with the same results, taken the battery out for 30 minutes, everything except throwing it against the wall but that’s next. How do I get out of the screen alignment loop and move forward?
The only thing I can think of is that the screen might be bad. Has it been hit or dropped? Are you SURE you haven't thrown it against the wall? :P Just kidding, but seriously, my dad's old Palm had a similar problem where if you tried to calibrate the screen, it would loop, and it was because the screen was old and wasn't performing correctly. Although you were pressing it in the right place, the screen wasn't reporting the locations properly, causing the thing to loop to try and get correct readings from the screen.
