Very little suction in hose no tears in hose side filter clean DC07 Just tried the low extension to vacuum under the bed very little suction on extension . the side filters are clean .NO tears in the hose underneath the vacuum >What else could it be ?

I have fixed hundreds of Dyson DC07 vacuum cleaners over the last few years and i would say there are 2 possible causes for the loss of suction. 1st is that the filter looks clean but is actually worn anyway. The way to tell is remove the washable filter from your vacuum cleaner. Take out the foam insert this seems to last longer that the other part. Hold up the plastic cage to the light and look at the white part (well it used to be white anyway) you should be able to see light through it. If you cant see through it you need to replace it. Here is a link to that filter for purchase . To verify this is the problem just run the vacuum without the filter in you should see an improvement - note do not actually **** up material the filter is there for a good reason. 2nd problem is that you have a blockage in your radix assembly. If you take off the whole dirt bin and feel the suction on the upright part where the chamber joins the vacuum (basically bypassing the radix) if there is good suction here you will either need to replace the cyclone top or dismantle and clean it. (it is very difficult to clean as it doesn't completely dissassemble) Hope this helps - If you want more help send me a message HAPPY VACUUMING ! :)

Here are some things you can check.First you need to see if the problem is with the suction or agitation.If the suction on the hose for using the attachments is low you either need new filters a new cyclone(they are not cleanable) or it is clogged.To check for a clogg remove the cyclone and turn on the vacuum cleaner.you can put your hand over the suction side of the handle tub and feel if it has suction there.Reinstall the cyclone and again check the hose.If it is the same you don't likley have a suction problem you have an agitation problem.The 2 belts on the DC07 are part of the clutch and when they are strectched to a certain point (3-5years) the clutch needs to be replaced.you can check the clutch by turning on the vacuum cleaner and applying slight pressure downward on the front of the vacuum head.If the vacuum makes a loud ratcheting noise or you can stop the brush from turning the problem is most likely the clutch.One last thing is to make sure the bottom plate is on correctly I often see a misaligned bottom plate and the brush dosen't hit the carpet so it dosen't pick up. www.sewvac.com
have you checked your permanent filter. is that plugged? Have you taken the small solid plastic passage off the side of the machine and checked for a plug there?
Did you by chance rinse your cyclone with water at some point? You can disassemble the cyclone and clean that. google has some videos on cleaning your cyclone. just google clean dc07 cyclone and you'll get several
You have a blockage in the wand. Stand behind the machine and:
1) Remove the u-bend which is located NEXT to the right-hand side wheel, NOT above it. It connects from the bottom of the long gray hose to next to the right-hand side wheel. It is attached to the machine with a rectangular-shaped clip - push the clip and pull the pipe down.
2) Look through the wand if you can (DC07 wand is bent) - if you can't see the ground you have a blockage in either the hose or the wand
3) Remove the hose and separate it from the wand - hold the wand up into the air and look through it - if you can't see light coming through the other end, there is a blockage in the wand. Use a long object like a stick or a metal hanger to remove the blockage.
4) If the wand is clear, stretch the hose out and look for dark spots - those are the blockages. Again use a long object to remove the blockage - be careful not to damage the hose, you don't want to buy a new one.
there is a washable filter either on the side of the motor or in the dust cup clean it out using water make sure it is dry before reinstalling also check for clogs there are several pices that are removeable the peice under the hose and vent clip? on the side remove and check for clogs
There's a clog somewhere then - probably at the end of the hose which means you should take off the hose at the bottom by the cord clip and have a look. Also check all inspection air ways to ensure there are no clogs. Usually if there's no suction through the handle a tell tale sign is that something has either got stuck or there's a tear in the hose. Hope that helps.
Had the same problem twice and washed the filter to no avail. Called Dyson to troubleshoot, and in one minute they had me removing the purple plastic noodle shaped piece towards the bottom on the side (the next time it was the silver noodle on the opposite side). Inside was a bent pen and tons of debris wrapped around it that slowed the suction. Poked the debris out, and it worked perfectly.
If no suction from hose check the following.
The (U) shaped inspection port at the back of machine where flexi hose enters has not come off or has a blockage.
Remove flexi hose from rear of machine once off slide it fully up the wand handle hold handle end up to a light & look up the pipe for blockages.
Check side premotor filter.
Does it pick up ok when using to vacuum carpets or is that got bad suction to ?
Just resolved the same problem...couldn't find a blockage anywhere, but pulled handle out of hose and extended hose as far as possible upward. Aha! There was blockage in the hose at the very bottom where the flexible hose meets the rigid part.. There is a lever which releases the entry to the bottom of the hose. A pencil, lots of coins, a crumpled receipt and general dirt were stuck. Easy to clean and now it works like new again.
