Re: stereo wiring

Wire outputs from CD player into inputs of Equalizer, then connect outputs of equalizer to inputs of amp, then output of amp to speakers. Use the best wire possible for all connections, i.e. Monster cables ect.

Please post ratings for all solutions please.

if your talking about the lid switch. shut off power, then take out the switch and remove the wires from it. hook the wires together then tape them.if the washer works by bypassing switch the switch is bad. good-day ! or was you talking about another switch.

Fills with water but goes no further

Sounds like the lid switch is shot......try to bypass it by wiring the wires together.....will have to lift the top off......if it works with wires together then it IS the luck

Washer will not spin

check the rubber coupling from motor to tub. they are made to break instead of ruining other components. its called a drive coupling. other possible causes-- belt broken, bad lid switch, clutch. check the lid switch first ! the wires going to lid switch can be hooked together and taped. if tub spins now, its a bad switch. but turn off power first!!

The tab is broken and does not make contact so the drum will spin out. A repairman said if it ever quit to just by-pass the switch. We have 2 gray wires capped together and one darker *** & red wire...

To bypass a switch, generally we simply twist, join, short, the wires together... a switch, as you know, simply makes & breaks a circuit, thus to put the switch always ON, we "Short" the wires out.

No power at all in any cycle have electric to it.

Check the lid switch.....make sure the switch is being pushed all the way in. On some models there is a fuse, usually wired in somewhere near the lid switch, check the fuse and make sure it isn't blown. If there is no fuse you can also check the switch by cutting the wires running to the switch: strip the wires about a quarter inch and wire nut them together....cut the wire at the switch so that there is enough wire left to splice back together if the switch isn't the problem....if you cut the wire too close to the switch it is a pain trying to splice the wiring back together. If your problem is a bad lid switch the washer should come start working. Good luck

4 wire outlet and 3 wire dryer, how do i hook up the new 4 wire to the dryer

The following link explains how to correctly install an appliance power cord:

The main difference between 3-wire configuration and 4-wire, is how the Neutral (WHITE) wire and Ground (GREEN or BARE COPPER) wires are terminated at the terminal block on the back of the dryer. In a 4-wire configuration the Ground and Neutral are independent of each other are not terminated together. Match the corresponding color wires at the terminal block and make sure you remove any ground straps from the neutral (if installed). Connect the ground wire to the equipment cabinet.

Read through the link provided and let me know if you have any questions. I hope this helps you.

The washer fills up and goes through the wash cycle but gets stuck on the drain and rinse cycle. I have tried all the different cycles and the water will not drain.

Its that old lid switch. it is not sensing the lid to be down. You can bipass by hooking 2 wires together, but you should replace the switch.

The washer fills with water and then wont do anything else

check lid or door switch. Should be two wires going to the switch pull wires off switch and while holding wires together wrap electrical tape around wires then try the machine to see if it works. All you are doing is jumping out the switch by connecting wires together. If it works replace door switch

Lid switch broken on Whirlpool Ultimate Care II washer.

Is the button broke off the switch? You can raise the top, should be two wires going to the switch they probably have female ends on them you can cut the ends off and wire nut them together that should allow you to run the washer.
