My new radio plays every thing but when i put a dvd it says warning please stop watch vedio player . you can hear the movie but there is no picture

the parking brake wire must be connected to the parking brake system of you car. When the parking brake is engages, the LCD will be allowed to view your video. If not, the screen will produce an image saying, parking brake. this is a feature designed for the driver not to watch a video while driving. The video output on this unit will not be affected by this, el wire to connect is Pink - parking brake. this is wire connect with ground.

E-Brake Problem

you have connected it correctly, that is just how those units work. there is a pattern to the ebrake for it to view video.

1. start with the ebrake off and follow this pattern.

2. on for 2 secs, off for 2 secs, then back on

or you can just put a toggle switch instead of connecting it to the cars ebrake wire. wire as follows

1. use a 2 wire switch.

2. connect one wire of the switch to ground

3. connect the other one to the ebrake wire of your dual unit.

4. then you would do the same pattern with the switch as you would have with your ebrake. this will allow you to view while in motion without your ebrake engage

hope this helps

DP Video car system to play video

look at the install diagram(wiring codes) that came with the unit. if it has a wire that's designated for the parking brake (allowing you to only watch dvds while brake is engage) take that wire and instead of hooking it up to the parking brake, ground it or put an in-line switch between wire and ground so you can turn that function on and off. warning!!! watching while driving is illegal in most states

The pink wire in most instances is the DVD's sensor that the vehicle is not in motion and is parked. It then allows the DVD player to display the movie not the warning message nor the blue screen.
Your description " wire on a bolt attached to the body..." indicates that said wire is constantly grounded. The DVD then cannot sense that the vehicle was parked. What this tell us is that the pink wire must first have a +12VDC before it is grounded. This changeover from + to 0 is the trigger. What is required is to have a single pole double throw switch. One end terminal is wired to ACC B+12 while the other to ground with the center terminal to the pink wire. Moving the switch from position OFF to ON (+12 to GND) simulates the parking brakes condition and will enable DVD playback.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

Bypass didnt work

Connect the parking break wire to the chasis ground. This is a safety feature that is used so the driver will not view the movie. I have these units installed on our boats and just simply hook to ground.
I hope this helps!

The way you bypass the E Brake is you have to ground the wire to the radio sleev itself. There are two different peices. The radio itself and the sleeve that holds the radio in place. Take the yellow wire (the ebrake wire, not the yellow ignition wire) and open the metal connector up just slightly. Attach that wire to the top of the sleeve on 1 of the teeth located near the front of the unit. You have to make sure that the connection is good or it will not ground. Next slide the clear plastic over the wire so the only connection is with the tooth.
Then Insert a cd or dvd in the player. Press play on the remote and then push stop 2 X times on the remote. After you have done that press 26604 on the remaote and then press enter. This will permanently unlock the parking brake feature and allow you to watch dvds while in motion. If you need any further help you can eamial me.

How do you connect a pioneer d2 navigation system to a 2006 ford expedition entertainment system

You need to identify the four wires that carry the DVD audio in the factory plug, and re-wire them to RCA plugs that can be used with the Auxiliary input RCA jacks on your Pioneer unit. The four wires should be: Left (+) light green Left (-) white Right (+) red Right (-) black The easiest way is to purchase some inexpensive RCA cables (or better yet, speaker wire with RCA ends). Cut the cables and wire the center pin conductor wires to the (+) audio wires in the stock plugs, and connect the outer shield conductors to the (-) wires. Then connect the RCA plugs to your head unit's auxiliary input jacks.

Dvd won`t work correctly

If your getting the "Can't view dvd in drivers view must apply parking brake" you need to recheck your ground. You might want to try another location for the ground. If the unit is VM9410 you can simply ground the parking brake wire and you'll be good to go.
