Question about AT&T E252 Cordless Expansion Handset (att252)
The microphone on all three of my at&t e252 cordless handsets have gone dead simultaneously. Have reset phones (pulled battery & rebooted) but to no avail. Only the corded base unit works.
I had a similar problem. I noticed that if I put the call on hold when I took them off hold, the mic would work for approximately 5 seconds, so I figured it must be a "software" problem.
On the base unit, I used Setup Base > Deregister All and then re-registered by handset. The mic is working again (for now).
