Question about Creative Labs Zen V MP3 Player
My mp3 player is constantly freezing and when i plug it back into the computer via usb cable the computer doesnt recognize it.
the mp3 player will not start working agian untill the battery is completely dead and i plug it back into the computer. this has happened several times and none of the times was it dropped rough handled ect. the song stops playing and the screen stays frozen untill the battery has gone to the "Low Battery" screen.
I Recently bought a Zen, and it works great. The only problem I found was that it freezes itself from time to time, and the best solution to this problem is on the bottom of your Zen, there is a very small Reset hole. With a needle or a toothpick, gently stick it in, and push lightly. This will allow the Zen to unfreeze, and return back into it's regular mode. All your files will be saved, and kept on to the Zen, so you don't need to worry about losing any of your files.
Any additional help, I'll be glad to answer!

I received one for Christmas and it froze, if i tried to rewind it a bit without pausing it first. I exchanged it and the new one does exactly the same thing. You can reset the unit by putting a pin or a small paper clip into the reset hole on the bottom edge and pressing gently. It turns the unit off and you can turn it on immediately.....it will then do a rebuild, but you do not lose any data.

Do a disk clean up if that doesn't work, load the current firmware and if that doesn't fix it you have a bad hard drive.
